The Relevance of the Synodal Process for LGBTI+ People – Part 1

Members of the EF’s Roman Catholic Church Working Group continue their work in support of visibility of LGBTI+ Catholics during the Synod, where Pope Francis is trying to bring the Church closer to the people. The Synodal Project Group of the RCC WG works together with global partners to collect Synodal experiences to ensure voices of LGBTI+ persons are being heard in this historic process in the global Catholic Church. For the spring of 2024 we have prepared a series of public webinars, where we want to talk with experts on selected topics such as the relevance of the Synodal Journey, the recognition of and blessings of same-sex couples (especially after Fiducia Supplicans), the unity of love and truth, and understanding the worldwide vulnerabilities of LGBTI+ people. In the first edition of the synodal webinar series on the 17th of February we had great speakers representing various experiences in the synod to discuss “The relevance of the Synodal process for LGBTI+ people”. The audio recording of the initial part of the webinar will enable you to hear the views of the 3 speakers as well as the response from the activist.
